The droid in my pocket comes in handy for capturing meaningful (and meaningless) pixels. There were also times where a real camera was near and some decent resolution came through. Here is a photodump of some events that happened this summer and into the new school year:
I was able to help out on a NatGeo shoot in the sound stage. No hints for what the show is, but when the time comes, I will keep you posted.

Loading the oldschool 8mm projector

Zeiss prime’s make me drool…

Playing around with rifles on set always makes for a good shoot (get it?).
DC proved to be a lot of fun when Dave and Erica Baker were around. I’m forever thankful for the fellowship and fun we had this summer:

Everything I own + the three of us in the front seat of a Ford Taurus.

4th of July picknick at National Mall
My good friend Drew Crowson also came out for a few months and we were able to explore the athletic side of the Capitol.

Hanging out at Red Bull National Wake competition trying to ignore the fact we are both very white.

At a DC united game sitting in seats we definitely didn’t pay for.

Washington Nationals game sitting in seats we also didn’t pay for.
As the summer came to an end, so did my internship with National Geographic Television. It was an amazing opportunity and the skills I learned will be with me throughout the rest of my production career:

Standing outside of the hub where it all happens.
From DC Amy and I drove straight to Indiana and then flew to Colorado. My Dad, Amy and I all decided to get sick and end up in the ER for fluids.

Feeling great…
After time in Colorado it was straight back to school only to discover that we got TWO new Sony F3’s, 30, 50 and 80mm lens kits, ARRI matte boxes and Red Rock Micro rail mounts…I’m still drooling:

Thanks for the read…it’ll be a good semester.
