I always struggle to write a witty intro to get people to read further into the post and I just got whooped tonight so I am just going to jump right in:
I am an official intern at National Geographic Television this summer Only by the Grace of God did I get this position and I am blown away by the plan that He has for my life. I am moving to Washington, DC on May 25th and I will be there until August 20th. The project I will be working in must remain under wraps to the public, but I’m so pumped about being a part of it!
I have been working every connection I can think of in the DC area for housing and let me tell you that it’s tough to find a place out there. So far I have sent out about 30 e-mails for potential housing and I have had 3 responses. I guess 10% is still better than none but it’s still pretty darn low.
The truck will be staying in Tennessee with Amy and I will be riding my bike everywhere all summer long. Being a true bike commuter has been a dream of mine for a long time and I am stoked to be able to go gas-free. I have also been looking into bike polo clubs in the DC area and it looks like I need to step up my game! Some of these guys are good but I can’t wait to hop in and meet some friends.
A new season of life is fast approaching and God has given me such an incredible gift to steward for the summer. I am going to do everything I possibly can to work my butt off and use the gifts God has given me…needless to say, I’m excited.
As far as the blog goes, I will be reporting a lot about my experiences in DC over the summer and whatever else comes to mind. I’m hoping there are going to be some great stories.
Thanks for reading all, God has huge plans for your life…all you have to do is listen.
