What would spring break be without a bit of adventure eh?

Amy and I were on our way back to Tennessee hanging out in the Denver Airport eating lunch.  Our flight was scheduled to board at 12:00pm (noon) and we were waiting at the gate starting at 11:45am.  We heard other flight announcements over the intercom but never heard any announcement for our flight.  As 12:20 rolled around I thought it would be good to check on the status of our flight since we had 2 more connections to make.

“Uh, yeah, the gate closed 10 minutes ago, you will have to go over to customer service and re-book your flight.  I’m surprised you didn’t hear my announcements” said the over joyed old man at the ticket counter.  I couldn’t tell if it was to his pleasure that we missed our flight or the fact that he got to tell us that we missed our flight, either way, he was way too happy about our situation.

In short, customer service booked us on a flight for tomorrow morning straight to Knoxville…for the cool fee of $75 per person.

Frustrated, we rented a tiny rental car, called our good friend Sharley who lives in Greeley, and decided to extend our spring break for another night.

Adventure!
